NEW BOY...Zuberbuhler making his debut at Fir Park
Motherwell carved out a decent opening themselves in the 41st minute but Foran could only direct a free header tamely at Zuberbuhler from Paul Quinn's centre.
Hamilton broke down the right and whipped in an awkward low cross which Zuberbuhler, at full stretch, failed to gather, presenting Ross McCormack with an open goal.
Zuberbuhler was less troubled by Motherwell's next foray into the Albion half in the 67th minute when McBride screwed harmlessly wide from 18 yards.
After Albion had only half-cleared a corner, McGarry spun on a sixpence to drill the loose ball home from ten yards, giving Zuberbuhler no chance.
But Albion were grateful for Zuberbuhler's fine last-minute save for keeping out McCormack's 30-yard free-kick, with skipper-for-the-day Steve Watson's outstretched boot completing the clearance.

ALBION (4-4-2): Zuberbuhler; Hodgkiss (Watson HT), C Davies, Perry, Robinson (Albrechtsen HT); Chaplow (Ellington HT), Inamoto, Wallwork (Quashie HT), Carter (Greening HT); Gera, Hartson (Elvins 75). Subs not used: Kuszczak (gk), Daniels (gk), R Davies, Sissoko, Forsyth.
GOALS: ALBION - Hartson (38).
The sudden burst of activity continued when Pars striker Frederic Daquin fired straight at Pascal Zuberbuhler from an acute angle just inside the box.
Zuberbuhler's first action for a long time came in the 56th minute when he comfortably held a Keith Shevlin header from Iain Campbell's free-kick.
But Albion's goal lived a charmed life in the 63rd minute. Campbell rattled the underside of the Baggies' crossbar with a 30-yard thunderbolt from a short free-kick, with Zuberbuhler beaten all ends up.
