FA extends Atouba charge deadline
The Football Association has allowed Tottenham's Thimothee Atouba more time to answer a violent conduct charge.
Atouba had originally been given until 1800 GMT on Tuesday to respond.
But the 23-year-old is on international duty with Cameroon and has now been handed a deadline of 1700 BST on 31 March following a request from Spurs.
Manchester City's Joey Barton required eight stitches to an eye wound after Atouba appeared to elbow him in City's 2-1 defeat at White Hart Lane.
Barton lay on the floor as Spurs striker Robbie Keane scored the winner.
Atouba could face a three-match ban if found guilty by the FA's Disciplinary Commission at a hearing on 1 April.

LONDON, April 1 (Reuters) - Tottenham Hotspur defensive midfielder Thimothee Atouba has been banned for three matches after being found guilty of violent conduct by the Football Association (FA) on Friday.
Atouba clashed with Manchester City's Joey Barton off the ball during their Premier League match at White Hart Lane on March 19.
The incident was originally missed by the referee but television replays showed the Cameroon international elbowing Barton in the face.
Atouba's suspension will commence with immediate effect the FA said on their website.
The 23-year-old misses Saturday's league game at Birmingham, a home match against Newcastle on April 10 and Liverpool away on April 16.
