This is the actual picture taken from tonights game at Old Trafford against Tottenham Hotspur. With the score at 0-0, Carroll fumbled a long range shot, it bounced off his shoulder and the picture shows his attempt to stop it going into the net. As you can see he failed, but neither the referee or the assistants gave the goal and the match finished 0-0.

The ref was Mark Clattenburg but it's the assistant Ray Lewis who is at fault.

How can a referee and two assistant be so blindfolded? What we need are head referees who correct such scandalous decisions.

Honestly Id rather blame the Manure keeper for not being honest. The referee cant see it from whre he stood.
Okay the linesman should have seen it too, but he probably turned away when he saw Caroll catching it safely.

If you see where the referee was, - from this distance it was very difficult for him to see if the ball was behind the line or not... But where was this bloody linesman

This would be a good case for video-proofs in football-games... (only for goal-scenes; all other things should be decided by the ref)
