Just to say congratulations on a fantastic result last night . We were watching the game last night in a pub in South London with our red and blue scarves on just hoping for a great result ,and it happened.
Within one week two red and blue army's have defeated the red devils, (you and us )
You had fantastic support last night, and are a credit to your club .GODD LUCK with the rest of your season , C.P.F.C. fans will be following you in Europe all the way.

THANK YOU CPFC!!! Its great to have some UK support. We are over the moon here in Switzerland, not only because we are in the next stage of the competition, but because we eliminated ManU; not with luck, not with any tricks but with pure passion for the game and for the club. They couldnt beat us at home, let alone away.
BRING IT ON!! And hopefully this is a lesson for other larger clubs to take the "Little" Swiss team from Basel more seriously. Loving the international attention in the press at the moment.

They did not take our championship club seriously last week, our 6000 travelling fans were overjoyed though .
Its great to see proper football clubs with proper football fans having nights like this. IT'S why we all go to football and support our local sides , not the plastic fans that just follow the big European clubs for glory .
So again GOOD LUCK in Europe ,With your passion and fervour you can go along way.

Cheers mate, I had also great fun today reading some of those totally hilarious comments in different non-Manu forums. Simply unbelievable what kind of positive vibes our victory has generated for football fans accross the UK.

I would like to add my congratulations aswell. Please excuse my lack of German (or French).
In July, on our holiday in Switzerland, we spent the day in Basel and attended the home match against Neuchâtel Xamax which FC Basel won 2-0. It was my first football match outside of England and I was really impressed with the fans in St.Jakob, they made a good noise and the banners and flags are something I wish was in English football. I remember one banner read "New car, caviar, four star daydream, think I'll buy me a football team".
My congratulations come from Swindon Town and I must say how great it felt to see Basel progress in the Champions League.

Yes I am very aware of this, he was even interviewed by the local BBC radio! He came onto our forum a few weeks ago aswell. I think it was him anyway.

A little bit of chico's broken toes,
a little bit of Fergies whiskey nose
a little bit of Evra crying 'race'
a little bit of Giggsys pixie face
a little bit of Vidic seeing red
a little bit of Rooneys baldy head
a little bit of Nani taking a dive
You can see it all on Channel 5!
