Hallo FC Basel Fans.

Hi,

Was a bit shocked, when I heard that the Robins hired a self-proclaimed fascist.... How was this decision received in Swindon? How are the perspectives for the up-coming season?

Back to your question, the final schedule has not been released yet, but you can find a preliminary schedule mentioning the days of play under the following address: http://www.football.ch/sfl/cm/Datenplan%202011-2012.pdf

Wish you all the best for your stay in Switzerland,

cheers

BTW: the closest ground to Saas Fee is Sion, but of course you need to see the excitement in Basel, even if this means a three hour train ride.

Thank you very much for your reply.

The appointment of Paolo di Canio has been generally well received by most Swindon fans, if anything his appointment has created a bit of excitement around the town due to his successes in the game. His appointment may be what the club needs after a dismal last season, after Swindon finished bottom of the league. Some fans are angry at his appointment and I think a few have sent their season tickets back, written to the club about it and some aren't even going to support the team while he is in charge. A few on the Swindon internet forums have deleted their accounts in disgust at his appointment. There was quite a big argument regarding Di Canio on the main Swindon forum, the link is below:

As for me I don't really care about his political beliefs, as long as he gets Swindon promoted then I don't mind at all. My main concern with his appointment was not his political beliefs but his lack of knowledge of lower league football.

The perspectives for next season are pretty unknown yet because we haven't signed any players but Di Canio's appointment has certainly generated excitement for next season.

I will certainly looked into Sion but of course I will rather go to see the excitement of Basel, if I can I will go there as your stadium especially looks excellent, I'm sure it will be worth a 3 hour train ride.

Many thanks again for your reply.
