Oh yea the Turkish league is such an success... with the great teams like: Gençlerbirliği Ankara, Manisaspor, Sivasspor, Eskişehirspor, etc.
at least some people in Europe know who: FC Thun, Young Boys Bern and FC Zurich are....
and everybody knows who FC Basel is. They can even NAME our players....
nobody knows who the fuck plays for Galatasaray...

Don't fell offensed, but why should Shaqiri go to Galatasaray? I don't see a real step forward for him. With his potential and the possibility to play Champions League with FC Basel he'd rather stay. Or of course change to a top team in UK, Germany, Spain or Italy.
