I would take Owen back in a heartbeat. I have not seen anything of Kuyt but the reports about him are favourable.

Figo will be the winger, Milito the centre-half - possibly.

I am undecided about Figo, and like you I know nothing about Milito. But after last season - I have to trust Rafa

The rules said that FA CAN give one of the CL-starter-rights to the cupholder, there wasn't written that they MUST do this

FA decided to let Everton start, everything was according the rules.

and UEFA DID change the rules, there was no paragraphe that Liverpool has a fix-starter-right bevor UEFA changed everything

(my opinion is also that the winner should have the right to defend the title, but it wasn't right to change the rules for a running tournament)
