Weil er im Frühjahr gegen Moskau die rote Karte für eine Tätlichkeit erhalten hat. Hat nix mit der U21 zu tun. Er ist noch ein Spiel gesperrt.

Actually a few people know this. A lot don't. And a lot don't care.

I'm sure some people in here use the term because it is an insult, but I think most people just use it because it is so wide spread in German speaking countries.

The German and Swiss commentators use it all the time and so do the papers.

Our manager and our players have been using the term and the official homepage too. But rest assured - our officials and players never would use the term to insult. It is simply because they don't know - or because they are so used to hearing the term.

Anyway, don't automatically think people are insulting you when they say ManU. It's just something that won't change - no matter how hard you try...

Thanks for telling us.

Here ManU is just meant as a short form for Manchester United, and not meant as an insult.

Like you use Man. Utd.

The problem is, you can say "Man Utd." so people here say ManU.
Not only here, also in Germany and other countries.

It is a pitty that it is for you guys like an insult. Because other countries do not know it is so and just use it as a short form.

how ever... if you hear it from Basel Fans you should not consider it as bad intention of us.
